Illinois Advances to Big Ten Conference Semifinals
The Big Ten conference quarterfinals game between Illinois and Wisconsin ended with Illinois 58-54 and has advanced to the semifinals game Saturday. Mike Tisdale and Demetri McCamey put in a total of 34 points to lead the Fighting Illini.
(PressZoom) - The Big Ten conference quarterfinals game between Illinois and Wisconsin ended with Illinois 58-54 and has advanced to the semifinals game Saturday. Mike Tisdale and Demetri McCamey put in a total of 34 points to lead the Fighting Illini.
Illinois will next play Ohio State which tied for the Big Ten title with Purdue University this year. Illinois has a 19-13 overall record with 10-8 Big Ten conference record.
The game Saturday will have Ohio State coming into it after a huge buzzer beater by Evan Turner who hit a 40 foot shot with just fractions of a second left in the game Friday against Michigan.
Ohio State beat Michigan 69-68 Friday to gain the semifinal position. OSU is seeded number one in this tourney.
This semifinals game will take place at 1:40 PM from Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
