(PressZoom) - A cruise ship traveling off the coast of Spain was slammed by a huge wave which video broadcasts say caused the deaths of two passengers and injured six. The ship in question was the Louis Majesty which was sailing with 2,000 passengers on board when it was struck by an abnormally large wave.
The ship was hit by the wave while it was off the coast of Spain. After the wave killed and injured passengers, the ship set sail for Barcelona instead of its original destination of Genoa, Italy.
Names of the deceased passengers were not released but reports indicate that one was from Italy with another from Germany. The six injured people were taken to hospitals in Spain.
Video reports indicate the height of these huge waves to exceed twenty feet in size and larger when the passengers were injured.
There has been no official statements regarding the deaths and injuries by the owner of the ship.
