(PressZoom) - The 2010 NFL Combine results are already concluded with some surprising outcomes from this event held over six days in Indianapolis. The NFL combine results help the hundreds of coaches, scouts, and NFL executives figure out this year's crop of players before they drafted by putting them through drills and tests.
The drills which each player is subjected to include the 40 yard dash, broad and vertical jump, bench press, shuttle run and a three cone drill.
Besides the physical tests, the psychological evaluations are a key element to see if the athlete has the character to deal with being in the NFL which has money, pressures and other unnatural attachments to the job.
One impressive player was Taylor Mays who ran the 40 yard dash in an unofficial time of 4.24 but was later changed to 4.43 seconds.
The 2010 NFL Draft begins on April 22, 2010 with the St. Louis Rams having the first pick due to their finish in the standings for 2009 season.
