Poll Shows 2008 Presidential Election Voters at 53% for Obama and 39% for McCain
A new CBS News / New York Times poll shows that 2008 presidential election nominee Barack Obama at a staggering 53% of the potential voters as compared to a low of 39% for opponent John McCain. The election is only weeks away and it seems Obama has pulled ahead with a commanding lead.
(PressZoom) - A new CBS News / New York Times poll shows that 2008 presidential election nominee Barack Obama at a staggering 53% of the potential voters as compared to a low of 39% for opponent John McCain. The election is only weeks away and it seems Obama has pulled ahead with a commanding lead.
Other results of the poll show that 82% of Clinton supporters have said they would be voting for Obama. For the question of leadership, 64% of those polled mentioned that McCain is ready to run the White House.
With the third and final presidential debate scheduled for tonight (October 15, 2008) at Hofstra University in New York, McCain is trailing by a wide margin according to the latest polls.
